Championship-Winning Fire Power Froth Honda Racing Ready
Fire Power Froth Honda Racing, championship victors less than twelve months ago, are eager to start the 2023 FIM World Supercross Championship on British soil. The six-round campaign starts in Great Britain and will include Grands Prix in Singapore, Germany, Canada, Abu Dhabi and Australia.
Justin Brayton is set to lead the team into action, after coming close to title success in the pilot season. Brayton has proven on countless occasions that age does not define him and, fresh off of another title in Australia, he’s poised to battle for trophies once again. The prospect of achieving more international success is extremely exciting for the man who has won on all but two continents.
Joining Brayton in the WSX division is Dean Wilson, who enjoyed a positive AMA Supercross campaign in which he made incredible steps forward each week. That momentum will serve him well at his home Grand Prix. Following his recent arm pump surgery, ’15’ is set on piecing together a consistent season across the next five months.
The British fans will be glued to the Fire Power Froth Honda Racing team, as Max Anstie is hungry for redemption after missing out on last season’s SX2 crown by the slimmest of margins. Anstie has gone from strength to strength aboard his CRF250R – he won his first main event in AMA Supercross and raced to third in the 250SX East series. Now, becoming a world champion is his priority.
SX2 rookie, Gage Linville, has graduated from the squad’s amateur program and will focus on building experience as each round passes. Linville showed potential in AMA Supercross – he secured a season-best finish of thirteenth in Atlanta, Georgia. There will be plenty of knowledge that he can benefit from beneath the ‘red’ banner.
Justin Brayton: “I am prepared, I would not be racing if I did not think I could contend for race wins and the championship. I have had a lot of success with this team. Working with Martin and Yarrive is a fantastic opportunity for me and the other riders on the team.”
Dean Wilson: “The team and I have really started to gel. It is a great environment and I am excited to race with the team in the UK. I want to be inside the top five, following this first round, and then we have a big gap between rounds one and two. I want to be consistent and there in the end.”
Max Anstie: “I want to go one better than last year and win the championship. There would be nothing better than starting that bid with a victory on home soil, with all of my friends and family there. We have really built a great program and I am excited to start racing.”
Gage Linville: “This, both racing at a professional level and internationally, is all a learning experience for me. I am so thankful to the team for giving me such an opportunity and helping me learn. I am excited to establish a base at round one and then we will build from there!”
Martin Davalos (Fire Power Froth Honda Racing): “The whole team have been working tiresomely to be prepared for this weekend. We are ready and have done what we can to contend for championships in both classes. I believe in the team and the riders.”
